“The Sheriff” took a few shots at the record books in Super Bowl 50.

Of the new marks that were established in “the Golden Super Bowl,” Peyton Manning certainly had a hand in plenty of the notable ones that were broken or matched:

-Longest punt return: 61 yards, Jordan Norwood
-Most times sacked, game, both teams: 12, Carolina vs. Denver
-Fewest total yards, game, winning team: 194, Denver
-Head coach to win Super Bowl with team he played with in the Super Bowl: Gary Kubiak

-Most sacks, player, game (since 1982): 3, Kony Ealy
-Most sacks, game, team: 7, Denver
-Most fumble recoveries, player, game: 2, Danny Trevathan
-Most fumble recoveries for a touchdown, player, game: 1, Malik Jackson

It’s also worth noting that Denver’s Brandon McManus set the postseason record for most field goal attempts without a miss (10-for-10), breaking the record set by the Minnesota Vikings’ Chuck Nelson in 1987 (9-for-9).
