Here is a look at some of the SEC’s top-performing position units in Week 13:

QUARTERBACKS — Ole Miss: Chad Kelly was playing in his first Egg Bowl and he was doing it in the unfriendly confines of Davis Wade Stadium, but none of that seemed to bother the Rebels signal-caller. Kelly not only led the Rebels to a 38-27 win to ensure the Golden Egg remained in Oxford for another year, but he also turned in quite an individual performance. Kelly threw for 236 yards and two touchdowns on 21 of 30 passing, and also carried the ball 11 times for 74 yards and another touchdown. He was not sacked and did not throw an interception.

RUNNING BACKS Alabama: With apologies to Tennessee running backs Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara, who had a very solid outing against Vanderbilt, this week’s honor belongs to Derrick Henry. With 46 carries during the Iron Bowl, he did the work of two full-time running backs, running for 271 yards on the way to securing a 29-13 win against Auburn.

WIDE RECEIVERSSouth Carolina: Mississippi State’s receivers could make a case for this recognition, but we decided to go in the direction of a duo that performed well for a 3-9 team that stood toe-to-toe with the No. 1 team in the country on Saturday. Pharoh Cooper, who was playing in his final college football game, hauled in a 57-yard touchdown catch as the Gamecocks tried to fight their way back into the game in the second half. He finished with 86 yards receiving on four catches. Deebo Samuel led the Gamecocks with five catches for 104 yards and a touchdown of his own.

OFFENSIVE LINETennesseeThe Vols have become quite the power running team behind a young offensive that is seemingly gaining experience as the weeks go by. This time, they rushed for 331 yards against a very solid Vanderbilt defense, while also not allowing a sack of QB Joshua Dobbs. Georgia’s offensive line was another group that was worthy of consideration for this week’s honor.

DEFENSIVE LINE LSU: Texas A&M was unable to get much of anything going against the Tigers on Saturday night, and the LSU defensive front deserves some credit for that. On top of allowing only seven points, the LSU defense also allowed just 88 yards rushing on 33 attempts. Arden Key and Lewis Neal each contributed sacks from the line, and Aggies QB Kyle Allen was hurried five times.

LINEBACKERSGeorgia: With the Georgia Tech option offense on the menu for Saturday, the Bulldogs knew it would take a strong performance in assignment football from their linebackers to keep the Yellow Jackets contained. It was mission accomplished for this group during a 13-7 road win against its hated rivals. Jake Ganus led the way with 12 tackles for a unit that helped hold the Yellow Jackets to 194 yards on 41 rushing attempts.

DEFENSIVE BACKS — Ole Miss: The oft-maligned Rebels defensive backs were all over the place during a 38-27 win in the Egg Bowl. Mike Hilton led the team with 10 tackles (two for loss), with contributions from Chief Brown (eight tackles and a fumble recovery), Trae Elson (seven tackles and two pass breakups), Kendarius Webster (five tackles) and Tony Bridges (three tackles and an interception).
