College football fans love recruiting for the potential of their team landing an instant impact player.

While the SEC has plenty of incoming talent both from JUCO and the high school ranks, the SEC Network’s Marcus Spears has given us his list of his top five newcomers that will have the biggest impact in 2015.

Marcus Spears’ Top Impact Newcomers (in order):

1. Auburn RB Jovon Robinson
2. Tennessee DT Kahlil Mackenzie
3. Auburn DE Byron Cowart
4. Alabama WR Calvin Ridley
5. Auburn DB Blake Countess

Three guys for Auburn? If the Boom Brothers are going to lead Auburn to the playoff, they will need new guys to step up. Blake Countess, a transfer from Michigan, helps fill the need on the backside of Auburn’s defense.

No. 1 recruit in the land, Byron Cowart of course fills that BUCK position that is a key role for Muschamp’s defense. Cowart will play the linebacker and defensive end position depending on the defensive personnel on the field. The athletic freak can cause nightmares and mismatches for opposing offenses.

Spears also included Jovon Robinson as his top impact newcomer, and even predicted that he’ll be in the same conversation with Leonard Fournette and Nick Chubb at year’s end. Running backs in Gus Malzahn’s offense certainly pile up the yardage.

Alabama’s Calvin Ridley is a dynamic talent who will be tasked with helping replace the production lost by legendary Tide WR Amari Cooper.

Tennessee’s Kahlil Mckenzie is a “fleet footed mack truck.” Tennessee’s defense might make some noise in 2015, and Mckenzie will likely play a key role.
