SEC discusses, explains college football rules changes for 2015
Coordinator of football officials Steve Shaw addressed rules changes within college football and the SEC on Tuesday morning.
There aren’t many radical changes. The SEC will continue to experiment with placing an independent medical observer inside the replay booth.
Some other changes: overbuilt facemasks now are illegal, the SEC will continue to provide eight-person officiating crews for games, pulling other players off a pile is now a penalty and illegal blocks on onside kicks is now a reviewable play.
