A conference title in football wasn’t enough to make Alabama the most successful SEC program of the 2015-16 academic year.

For the 15th time in school history, Florida swept the categories of men’s, women’s and overall SEC All-Sports honors. Texas A&M was runner up in all three categories.

The All-Sports standings are calculated by using a quotient that factors in how many teams participate in a sport and where each school finished. The Florida men participated in seven SEC men’s sports that featured a total of 92 teams. Florida’s second-place finish in football, a 7-2 overall conference record, was worth 13 points in the men’s and overall categories.

UF’s final tally for all seven men’s sports was 79-of-92, giving them a quotient of 0.80, ahead of second-place Texas A&M at 0.78. The Florida women topped the Aggies by an even greater margin, 0.85 to 0.75. In the overall category, combining men’s and women’s totals, the Gators came out on top 0.83 to TAMU’s 0.76.

Alabama finished No. 7 in men’s sports (0.57 quotient) and No. 6 overall (0.53).
