With plenty of action every Saturday, there are always going to be of highlight reel plays. Of course, there are also those plays that are better off forgotten. Here at Saturday Down South, we don’t forget.

It’s worth noting that Mississippi State’s Dillon Day put on a disgusting show in the Bulldogs’ win over LSU. We won’t rehash that here, as his actions have no place on a football field. Now, let’s run down the lowest of lowlights from actual football plays.

3. Missouri loses to Indiana at home: It’s been a long time since a Big Ten team went into an SEC stadium and came out with a win; the last Big Ten win on SEC soil came in 2010, when Vanderbilt fell to Northwestern. Indiana had dropped a game to MAC opponent, Bowling Green, the week before. Not a good look for a team that was looking like it had a good shot to win the SEC East. This loss obviously doesn’t affect that, but it sure makes Missouri look beatable.

2. Will Muschamp dials up the pressure: Muschamp is a defensive coach, with several high-profile defensive coordinator jobs on his résumé before coming to Florida. He made the wrong call against Alabama, though, bringing the house on a third-and-very-long play and getting beaten by a screen pass. Derrick Henry took the ball down inside the Florida five-yard line, and a play later Alabama led 28-21 and never looked back.

1. South Carolina gives up two kickoff return TDs: Under Steve Spurrier, the Gamecocks have a history of not bringing their best to the field against seemingly overmatched opponents. They did it again and nearly paid for it against Vanderbilt. One of the big reasons: sloppiness on special teams. Getting caught napping on the opening kickoff is bad, and having it happen again in the third quarter makes it worse.
