The Miami Hurricanes will honor the life of former Miami Marlins ace Jose Fernandez by wearing “JF 16” helmet decals during Saturday’s game at Georgia Tech, the team announced on its official Twitter page Friday.

Fernandez, 24, and two passengers were killed in a boating accident off Miami Beach last Sunday morning. The Marlins canceled their game last Sunday against the Atlanta Braves hours after the tragedy and honored their pitcher the following night.

The Miami Dolphins also held a moment of silence hours after the accident during their Week 4 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

The 24-year-old Cuban defector was drafted 11th overall by the Marlins in 2011. Fernandez overcame Tommy John surgery in 2014 to record a career-best 16 wins and 253 strikeouts in 2016.
