Video: SEC rookies enjoy stellar NFL debuts for New Orleans Saints
It’s been a great start to the preseason for former SEC players in the NFL.
Former Georgia corner Damian Swann, a fifth-round pick by the New Orleans Saints this year, jumped a route and picked off an errant throw from Matt Schaub in his professional debut Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens.

Swann’s hoping to play his way into the rotation within a secondary that struggled mightily last season. And he wasn’t the only former SEC starter to make the most of his first game with his new team.
Mizzou standout Marcus Murphy scored on a 3-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, showcasing his speed on a toss sweep. He also handled punt and kick return duties.
Mississippi State rookie pass rusher Kaleb Eulls entered the game in the final frame for the Saints and quickly registered two tackles for loss and a pass deflection.
