While reigning Super Bowl MVP Von Miller may not have been the most coveted prospect coming out of DeSoto, Texas, the former Texas A&M star defender did receive plenty of recruiting attention from the likes of Florida, Oklahoma and LSU before ultimately deciding to play his college football in College Station.

Miller was a high school senior in 2007 and considering Texas A&M was coming off a 7-5 season and LSU was coming off a national championship campaign, why did the DeSoto native pick the Aggies? In his own unique way, Miller had this to say about his recruitment.

“A&M really wanted me,” Miller said, according to Greg Bishop of Sports Illustrated. “You know that girlfriend that’s really not that attractive but she’s going to do everything she can to keep you? That was A&M. . . . That hot chick that just talks to you on Mondays? That was LSU.”

So there you have it, A&M showed Miller the love and stuck with him, as opposed to ‘hot chick’ LSU. Amazing quote by an amazing player.
