Here is a look at some of the SEC’s top performing position units in Week 7:

QUARTERBACKS — Mississippi State: Dak Prescott turning in quality performances has become the standard for the senior quarterback, but this week is the perfect opportunity to acknowledge that he is the league’s best. Prescott completed 30 of 43 passes for 347 yards and three touchdowns, and also ran for 34 yards and a touchdown.

RUNNING BACKS Alabama: We’ve given this acknowledgment to LSU due to Leonard Fournette on several occasions this season, and you could make the argument that the Tigers again deserve it after 221 rushing yards against Florida’s stout run defense. Instead, we’re giving the nod to Alabama, which had Derrick Henry run for 236 yards in a win at Texas A&M. It was the second-highest single-game rushing total in FBS play for Week 7, trailing only Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey.

WIDE RECEIVERSOle MissThe Rebels lost at Memphis on Saturday, but don’t point the finger at their wide receivers. Laquon Treadwell caught 14 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown, and also threw a 68-yard touchdown pass. Quincy Adeboyejo had 94 yards receiving and a touchdown, Cody Core had six catches for 83 yards and Damore’ea Stringfellow caught four passes for 72 yards and a touchdown.

OFFENSIVE LINELSU: If we’re going to recognize Alabama at the running back position, let’s give some credit to the Tigers offensive line for its big-time performance both in creating running lanes for Leonard Fournette and protecting Brandon Harris. LSU rushed for 5.4 yards per attempt on a very stout Florida defensive front, and the Tigers offensive line did not allow a sack. Two huge reasons LSU was able to pull out a 35-28 win against the Gators.

DEFENSIVE LINE Alabama: It was a long day for the Texas A&M offense, and that was thanks to a strong effort from the Alabama defensive front. Jonathan Allen was a standout performer, recording two sacks, four tackles for loss and a forced fumble. Texas A&M had little success running the ball against the Crimson Tide front, totaling just 32 yards rushing on the day.

LINEBACKERSGeorgia: If you’re a fan of defensive football, the Bulldogs’ 9-6 win against Missouri must have been a thing of beauty. And much of that solid defensive work was done by the Georgia linebacking crew, which helped hold the Tigers to 164 yards of total offense, including just 21 yards rushing on 22 attempts. More specifically, Bulldogs linebackers Jake Ganus, David Bellamy and Leonard Floyd each recorded a sack and were the top three tacklers on the Georgia roster. Ganus led the way with nine tackles, and Floyd led the team with two tackles for loss.

DEFENSIVE BACKSAlabama: We’ve already given the nod to Alabama in a couple other categories, but how can you not give the nod to Crimson Tide in this one as well? The Alabama secondary intercepted Aggies quarterbacks four times, including three passes returned for a touchdown. Freshman CB Minkah Fitzpatrick returned both of his interceptions for touchdowns, and S Eddie Jackson returned one of his two 93 yards for a touchdown.
