Former South Carolina WR makes Carolina Panthers' roster

Former South Carolina WR Damiere Byrd spent last season on the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad.

This year, he’ll be on the actual roster after surviving Saturday’s cuts to make the 53-man final group:

This preseason, Byrd caught six passes for 111 yards while playing in each of the Panthers’ four games.

Byrd caught 68 passes for 1,265 yards and 10 touchdowns.
