The State newspaper in Columbia is reporting that South Carolina freshman defensive end Shameik Blackshear was shot multiple times on Wednesday evening.
Police are to have reported that the victim of the shooting, which The State says was not confirmed by police to be Blackshear, is in serious condition on Thursday.
The State also reports to have a source saying that Blackshear will be OK.
The incident was reported to have happened at an apartment complex called Club at Carolina Stadium, which is located near the school’s baseball stadium.
