South Carolina’s a seven-point underdog against Florida on Saturday and has only beaten the Gators once in Gainesville. Here’s a look inside some of the numbers:

THE GOOD

233: Number of receiving yards by South Carolina’s Pharoh Cooper last time out, a single-game record for the Gamecocks. Cooper’s second only to Amari Cooper in the SEC in all major receiving categories this season.

2,588: Total passing yards from fifth-year senior quarterback Dylan Thompson, tops in the SEC East. He needs only 618 yards and seven touchdowns to become the most prolific single-season passer in South Carolina history.

6.3: Yards per carry from junior tailback Brandon Wilds who has hinted at leaving early for the NFL Draft. Wilds is coming off his fourth-career 100-yard game.

THE BAD

6.5: Average yards per play opposing offenses have managed against South Carolina this season. The Gamecocks rank 120th nationally in that category. By comparison, arch rival Clemson’s giving up a college football-low 3.9 yards per play.

THE UGLY

316.0: Rushing yards per game Florida has averaged since turning to Treon Harris as its starting quarterback following a loss to Mizzou on Oct. 18. The Gamecocks have given up 316.6 rushing yards per game over the same stretch.

0.89: Average number of sacks per game this season for the Gamecocks, a program-low since the stat began being tracked in the 1980s. No Power 5 team has been worse at getting after the quarterback.

90.0: Opponents’ fourth-down conversion rating against South Carolina this season, last in the SEC.
