Deion Sanders blasts ‘idiotic’ report about Colorado band not playing fight song
Deion Sanders has 2 words in response to the report that he told Colorado’s band not to play the school fight song after his son, Shedeur Sanders, throws touchdown passes.
“That’s idiotic,” said the Colorado head coach. “You all know that. When you saw that, you know that was a lie.
“We got to start having some sort of accountability. I understand that this is an open world, that everybody isn’t a journalist, everybody isn’t an analyst, everybody really hasn’t put in a lot of work to do what you all do.”
“Please know that this stuff affects people,” continued Sanders. “You’ve been attacking me my whole life, so I’m good. But other people that are involved, band members, Buffs faithful, alumni, sometimes they don’t know what to believe. Often times in life, we believe the first thing we hear, and we shouldn’t. I would challenge you to be more responsible with your reporting.”

Jake Shapiro, a Denver sports analyst for 104.3 The Fan, wrote Saturday that Deion Sanders had asked the Colorado band to not play the fight song after Shedeur Sanders scores a touchdown, but to instead let a portion of the QB’s own rap song play over the speakers.
Colorado called Shapiro’s report “not true” in a statement provided to Kyle Bonagura of ESPN.
The Buffaloes didn’t have a good weekend on the field, either, as they were beaten soundly at Nebraska last Saturday night to fall to 1-1.
Colorado will try to bounce back this Saturday night at Colorado State.
Deion has 2 words in response.
Proceeds to empty a word dumpster 115 words deep on the press.
“Y’all been attacking me all my life.” So Jake Shapiro, a Denver sports analyst for 104.3 The Fan has been attacking you all of your life. Really?
“Everybody isn’t a journalist, everybody isn’t an analyst, everybody really hasn’t put in a lot of work to do what you all do.”
Also, everybody isn’t a real P4 head coach. (Talking about Peon Deion). And that clown talking about others not putting in the work is the absolute pinnicle of hypocrisy.
