Johnny Manziel expected to throw for NFL scouts at upcoming Pro Day event
Johnny Manziel has been very public regarding his attempt at a comeback to the NFL. His social media feeds have been active with updates of workouts and training sessions geared to get himself back in front of professional scouts. Perhaps more importantly, he’s opened up on his personal health struggles and been honest about how he sabotaged his first attempt at an NFL career.
It would appear that his efforts to make a comeback are beginning to pay off.
According to Sports Illustrated’s Bruce Feldman, Manziel is expected to participate in San Diego’s Pro Day Thursday. He’ll throw to the school’s skill players hoping to get noticed by the NFL.

It’s a good move for all involved, as the NFL’s Jason B. Hirschhorn points out. Manziel will potentially draw more eyes to University of San Diego’s players and the former Texas A&M quarterback gets the chance to finally throw again for NFL scouts.
This serves the interests of both Johnny Manziel and University of San Diego football. Manziel gets a platform to showcase himself and the program gets more eyeballs on its players. https://t.co/JAJNW6Vj3p
