According to reports, Antonio Armstrong, a former Texas A&M and Miami Dolphins linebacker, was shot overnight along with his wife by their 16-year-old son. Armstrong, 42, played for the Aggies from 1991-1994.

As KBTX Sports’ tweet mentions, Armstrong has passed away today while his wife was found dead at the scene. According to kbtx.com, the couple was shot in their bedroom and their daughter was in the home during the time of the shooting.

Armstrong was selected in the third round of the 1995 NFL Draft and eventually played in the CFL from 1998-2001. During his time as an Aggie, Armstrong was named an AP All-American in 1994, recording 64 tackles and 17 tackles for loss that season.

During the 1994 season, Texas A&M finished with a 10-0-1 record, tying one game against SMU because overtime wasn’t in college football until 1996. The Aggies won the Southwest Conference that year.
