Many believe Texas A&M’ Myles Garrett could be the first player called in next year’s NFL draft.

The star defensive end has 8.5 sacks this season and 32.5 sacks during his career with the Aggies. He’s become a nightmare for opposing offenses and has consistently battled double and triple teams in 2016.

Speaking with Monday Morning Quarterback’s Robert Klemko, Texas A&M defensive ends coach Terry Price broke down why Garrett will have success in the NFL.

“On the field, some of the athleticism he shows is amazing for a guy his size,” Price told Klemko. “He’s been blessed with a lot of ability and he uses it to his advantage. He understands route concepts, coverage concepts that ends and OLBs have to, and obviously he excels at rushing the quarterback.

“He can work in any scheme, any position. He’s going to be a star at whatever you ask him to do. He’s different from Von in the sense that he’s a bigger guy. 270 pounds, 6′ 5″ and can do a lot of the same things.”

Pass rushers have become some of the most coveted players in today’s NFL. If Garrett is truly a bigger version of former Aggies’ star Von Miller then he will be just fine at the next level.
