Butch Jones confirms a notable absence on Tennessee’s defense

On Butch Jones’s weekly radio show, the Tennessee coach confirmed that LB Darrin Kirkland Jr. would miss Saturday’s big game against Texas A&M:
#Vols coach Butch Jones just said on "Vol Calls" that LB Darrin Kirkland Jr. (high ankle) is out for Texas A&M on Saturday.

Kirkland had been considered day-to-day this week, but it appears he’ll miss yet another game while dealing with an ankle injury.
Colton Jumper has started in Kirkland’s place the last three games and will likely get the nod again in College Station.
Saturday’s game is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on CBS.
