The New England Patriots traded former Tennessee corner Justin Coleman on Friday to the Seattle Seahawks for a late round draft choice, according to ESPN’s Field Yates and Mike Reiss.

Coleman, who also spent some time with the Minnesota Vikings, signed with the Patriots in 2015. He had previously been on the Seahawks’ practice squad.

Coleman played in 20 games for the Patriots over the past two seasons. He is entering the final year of his contract and will make $615,000 this season, according to OvertheCap.com.

The former Vol defensive back did not play in the Patriots’ preseason game against the New York Giants on Thursday.

At Tennessee from 2011 to 2014, Coleman was a four-year starter (full time in ’13 and ’14). He was the Vols’ primary nickel back.
