Tennessee head coach Butch Jones confirmed that sophomore wide receiver Marquez North will miss the remainder of the season due to a shoulder injury. Jones spoke during his postgame press conference following the Vols’ 29-21 loss to No. 20 Missouri.
“He’ll be out for the rest of the year,” Jones said. “He tried to go this week. We had an MRI and he couldn’t go, and he’ll be out the rest of the year.”
North sat out of Saturday’s game after starting every game in 2014. He was Tennessee’s second leading receiver with 320 yards and four touchdowns on 30 receptions.
