The Tennessee Volunteers made a change at quarterback last week when they inserted redshirt freshman QB Jarrett Guarantano into the starting lineup over junior Quinten Dormady.

Now, though, it appears Dormady may be dealing with a significant shoulder injury, according to reports on Friday morning.

Though Dormady will travel to Tuscaloosa with the team this weekend, Volquest.com reports that he spent a couple of days this week up in Chicago having tests done on his injured shoulder.

In six games, Dormady threw for 925 yards and six touchdowns, to go with six interceptions. However, coming off the bye last week, the Vols started Guarantano instead.

If Dormady is indeed injured and requires surgery on his shoulder, it looks as if Guarantano will get plenty of time to learn on the job.

Dormady is expected to be at the Alabama game on Saturday afternoon, though, and is expected to be ready to play if called upon.
