Though Tennessee cruised to an easy 63-37 victory over Mizzou on Senior Day in Knoxville, all was not rosy in Volunteer land.

The Vols’ defense allowed 743 yards to the Tigers, which was the most ever allowed by the school:

Mizzou picked up 420 yards on the ground and added 323 more through the air. Still, the Tigers were thoroughly overmatched in Neyland Stadium.

Senior QB Joshua Dobbs accounted for five touchdowns and ran for 190 yards in the win. The Vols also got a timely pick-six from DL Jonathan Kongbo to demoralize the Tigers.

There will be much discussion about Tennessee’s porous defense this coming week, but the Vols did plenty of good things on Saturday to emerge with a big win over Mizzou.
