Freshman tailback Treyvon Paulk has been dismissed by the Tennessee football program for a “personal conduct” issue, head coach Butch Jones said Monday during his weekly press conference. Jones didn’t specify the reason for the freshman’s dismissal, but said he wouldn’t answer any more questions or give any more comments on the situation.

Paulk was a three-star prospect from Milton High School in Alpharetta, Ga., and ranked as the No. 441 overall prospect and No. 34 tailback by the 2014 247Sports Composite rankings. He was set to redshirt this season while recovering from a torn ACL injury suffered during his high school senior season after just four games. He ran for 1,200 yards and 19 touchdowns in his junior season and rushed for 227 yards and three touchdowns in the 2013 season opener.

Paulk served as a simulation to Georgia running back Todd Gurley on the practice field last week.
