Tennessee fans sound off on Twitter following loss to Vanderbilt
Missing out for a chance at an SEC title and a trip to Atlanta was bad enough for Tennessee last week.
This was the team expected to take the East division, give Alabama a run for its money and potentially steal one of the four College Football Playoff spots when it was all said and done.
Well, that’s hard to accomplish when Tennessee can’t even win its own state.
It’s been a miserable season for Volunteers fans this year, capped off by a disappointing 45-34 loss to in-state rival Vanderbilt on Saturday. The loss dropped Butch Jones’ squad to 8-4 on the year. Needless to say, Tennessee fans were not happy about the outcome in the season finale:
Tennessee lost again but they're still champions in life so I'm sure they are just thrilled @OldRowOfficial

Anybody want to still defend this #Vols season and say they haven't regressed? pic.twitter.com/qImAr2VwU6

Y'all, we just lost to #Vandy in a year where we should be in SECCG. This is actually a fireable offense. Butch Jones is bad for Tennessee
