Vanderbilt looks to capture its third win of 2014 against a struggling Old Dominion team. Here’s a look inside some of the numbers:

THE GOOD

589: Ralph Webb enters Saturday’s game with 589 yards and two touchdowns on 138 rushing attempts. The Gainesville, Fla., native is on pace to break the school’s freshman rushing record of 798 yards set by Kwane Doster in 2002.

Entering last week’s game, Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason promised to give leading rusher Ralph Webb more carries late in games. However, the redshirt freshman had just five carries in the third quarter and zero in the fourth, finishing with 34 yards on 16 attempts.

Webb should see more carries as Vanderbilt has a perfect opportunity to jump out to an early advantage against a weak opponent.

234.5: Old Dominion enters Saturday’s game facing a four-game losing streak, including a 66-51 defeat by Western Kentucky last Saturday. The Monarchs have allowed 234.5 rushing yards per game, ranking No. 116 overall in rush defense. Webb and dual-threat quarterback Johnny McCrary should see an impressive output against Old Dominion’s struggling defense.

THE BAD

244: Vanderbilt’s rushing defense allowed 244 yards and a touchdown on 46 carries. Missouri combined for 5.3 yards per attempt, with Marcus Murphy leading with 93 net yards. Russell Hansbrough added 87 yards and a touchdown, while quarterback Maty Mauk recorded 58 yards on seven attempts.

2: The Commodores also struggled to stop wide receiver Bud Sasser. Sasser finished with 74 yards and two touchdowns on five receptions, accounting for both of the Tigers final two scores.
