Now that the spring practice session is over, players have a better understanding of where they stack up on their teams’ depth charts.

That means players who may not be in line to get as much playing time as they want are announcing their transfers, and on Sunday, Vanderbilt DE Jalen Pinkney announced he was leaving the Commodores program.

As you can see below, the rising sophomore defender announced his decision on Twitter:

Pinkney appeared in seven games last season, but recorded only two tackles. He also broke up one pass.

Where Pinkney ends up next remains to be seen, but coach Derek Mason will need other players to step up and fill Pinkney’s backup role this fall.
