With Vanderbilt going to its first bowl since 2013, there will be a party in Nashville on Sunday evening.

According to a report from The Tennessean, the school will host a bowl celebration at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at its Student Life Center. Tickets to the bowl game will be available, and the first 500 fans through the doors will be given a limited edition bowl poster and T-shirt.

The Commodores will learn their bowl destination shortly before the festivities when the final College Football Playoff rankings and bowl pairings are revealed Sunday afternoon. Vanderbilt is expected to be placed in Dec. 26’s Independence Bowl or the Birmingham Bowl on Dec. 29.

Derek Mason’s squad made a late push toward bowl eligibility, beating Ole Miss 38-17 and upsetting then-No. 17 Tennessee 45-34 to go 6-6. Vanderbilt is going to a bowl for the first time in Mason’s three years in Nashville.
