Former Georgia RB Keith Marshall was having a good training camp in his rookie year in the NFL until Friday night.

The Washington Redskins seventh-round draft pick only received one carry (gaining three yards) before exiting the game against the Buffalo Bills with an injured elbow.

Undrafted rookie Robert Kelley, with whom Marshall is competing for Washington’s No. 3 running back spot, finished the game with 12 carries for 51 yards.

NFL roster spots are hard to come by and this injury may end up costing Marshall his position with the Redskins.

However, if the MRI results show no serious damage and he can play in the final preseason game next week, he could at least make the decision on who to keep and who to cut a little bit more difficult for the Redskins’ coaching staff.
