As befits a high-stakes Florida-LSU game, Saturday’s content came down to one yard on the final play.

The No. 23 Gators won that yard, that play and the SEC East title by producing a huge goal-line stand in Baton Rouge. Florida kept the No. 16 Tigers out of the end zone on two consecutive plays from the 1-yard line to hang on for a 16-10 win.

LSU ran its patented toss power (oddly enough, a common play from the Les Miles era) on the final play, but running back Derrius Guice appeared to go the wrong way. He tried to recover and leap over the goal line, but he was denied by several Gators.
