Tuberville would be an intriguing fit for FAU, as he possesses over 35 years of college football coaching experience and has strong ties to the Boca Raton, Fl. area from his time as a defensive assistant with the Miami Hurricanes (1986-93).
On Dec. 4, Tuberville announced he would be “stepping down” from his post with Cincinnati after compiling a 29-22 record in four seasons. The Bearcats went 4-8 in 2016.
