Texas A&M running back James White is transferring to Lamar University. The university dropped a tweet on National Signing Day to confirm the news.

White has already graduated, and he has one year of eligibility remaining where he’ll spend it at the FCS level.

In three seasons at Texas A&M, white rushed for 458 yards and seven touchdowns, and coming out of high school, White was ranked as the No. 22 overall running back in the class of 2013, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Although White’s loss hurts the depth in the backfield, the Aggies return Trayveon Williams and Keith Ford to form one of the best duos in the conference ahead of next season.
