Though LSU’s newest coaching hire won’t be able to work directly with players either on or off the field, head coach Ed Orgeron added a lot of experience to his staff.

Jerry Sullivan, who has served as a wide receivers coach for six different NFL teams, has been hired by LSU as a consultant, according to The Advocate.

Most recently, the 73-year-old Sullivan has served as a receivers coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars, with previous stints with the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins, Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions and San Diego Chargers on his resume.

Sullivan also spent the 1984-1990 seasons at LSU coaching the school’s receivers. According to Coach O, Sullivan will work with current LSU receivers coach Mickey Joseph as the Tigers prepare for the 2017 season.
