WATCH: Mizzou attempted what will likely go down as the worst fake punt of the season

Desperate times call for desperate measures. At least that’s how the saying goes.
The problem with that logic in football? You have to do something when the opportunity presents itself, otherwise, you just dig the hole deeper.
Down 31-7 early in the second half against Auburn, Missouri attempted a fake punt from its own 19. On fourth and seven, Tiger punter Corey Fatony had a lane that would have given him the first but he cut towards the sideline five yards short of the first down.
