Even before Chad Morris is officially announced as the new Arkansas football coach, there’s a report from Football Scoop that he’s filling out his staff.

Offensive coordinator Joe Craddock will join Morris at Arkansas for the same job with the Razorbacks, according to the report. Craddock spent three seasons with Morris at Clemson as an assistant in player development and as a graduate assistant. Craddock, 32, played quarterback at Middle Tennessee.

SMU’s offense was fourth in the American Athletic Conference this season in total offense at 494 yards per game. The Mustangs are also fourth in passing in their conference, and third in scoring offense at 40 points per game.

The Dallas Morning News reported that as SMU looks for a new coach for the second time in four years, Craddock is among the popular internal candidates to replace Morris. But the Mustangs may not have that opportunity if Craddock moves on to a new job himself.
