Crimson may be the color most associated with the Alabama football program but green could be another popular choice if you study the financial records of Nick Saban’s dynasty.

The Alabama football program racked in a total profit of $45.9 million in 2017 with a total revenue of $108.2 million according to Michael Casagrande of AL.com. He acquired this information via an opens records request.

The school’s athletic programs as a whole brought in $15.6 million, which goes to show just how much football means to the school’s athletic budget.

Not only has Alabama brought home another national championship back to Tuscaloosa, the football program produces the money necessary to keep all the school’s athletic programs afloat. Keep that in mind the next time someone asks if Saban is overpaid by the school.
