The Senior Bowl is hardly a real college football game. Instead, it’s a chance for players to show off their skills in front of NFL coaches and scouts ahead of the NFL Draft.

Therefore, the rules are different, the atmosphere is more relaxed, and media members can conduct interviews on the sidelines while the game is still in progress.

However, UCF LB Shaquem Griffin was caught in a hilariously awkward moment on Saturday while being interviewed by NFL Network reporter Alex Flanagan, as you can see in the video below, shared on Twitter by @whitewolf. Griffin was supposed to be on the punt team, but was doing the interview and didn’t realize what was happening on the field:

Griffin tried his best to make it to the field in time, but a coach held him back. He then sheepishly returned to the interview with an equally embarrassed Flanagan.

In the grand scheme of things, this wasn’t a big deal, but NFL teams are known to make big deals about minor things in the buildup to the draft.
