The Arizona Cardinals selected Christian Kirk with the No. 47 overall pick in the NFL Draft Thursday night.

Since former Florida WR Percy Harvin roamed the SEC, there hasn’t been another playmaker like him … until Christian Kirk. The electrifying former Texas A&M standout was a do-it-all in college in Kevin Sumlin’s system, despite consistent and reliable quarterback play.

Kirk’s numbers were just ridiculous. As a receiver, Kirk caught 234 passes for 2,856 yards and 26 touchdowns. He also added another 120 rushing yards. But where Kirk really excelled was in the kick return game. He tallied 48 kick returns for 1,048 yards and one touchdown, while returning 37 punts for 814 yards and a whopping six touchdowns. All total, the 2017 First-Team All-SEC member accounted for over 3,000 all-purpose yards and 40 touchdowns while in College Station.

NFL coaches have to love Kirk’s ability to hit a home run every time he touches the ball.

The Scottsdale, Arizona, native was rated as a 5-star prospect exiting high school, and he was ranked as the nation’s No. 25 overall player, the No. 4 overall wide receiver and the state of Arizona’s No. 1 overall player, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

It’ll certainly be fun watching him make plays on Sundays.
