Following the 2015 season, the Troy family was struck by tragedy, as football player Nathan Harris was killed in a motorcycle accident.
Now that the Trojans are coming off a season in which they won a share of the Sun Belt title, coach Neal Brown is making sure Harris’s family knows the Trojans are still thinking of him.
As you can see in the Instagram post below, Brown sent Harris’s family a championship ring, along with a heartfelt note:
“Thinking about you all. Nate’s impact is still being felt in our program,” the note says. “I’ve enclosed a championship ring that he earned. You all are very much a part of our Troy football family.”
What a great idea from Brown, and a gesture that will surely be appreciated by Harris’s family.
