Report: Mizzou working on home-and-home series with former Big 12 rival

The infamous “Fifth Down Game” lives on in the history of both the Colorado and Missouri football programs.
When the Buffaloes were awarded an erroneous “fifth down” at the end of the game, they scored, beating the Tigers 33-31 at Faurot Field in a season where they’d go on to win the national championship.
Now, those two former Big 12 rivals are working on a new deal for a home-and-home series, per PowerMizzou’s Gabe DeArmond:

Interestingly, he says the game in Columbia could occur on the 40th anniversary of the “Fifth Down Game,” which means we’re talking 2030 for that contest.
That is still a very long way away, but it would be fun to see the former Big 12 North rivals meet up on the gridiron once again.
