Tennessee is in the middle of a two-week stretch of facing Auburn and Alabama, and there’s not many better to fire up the Vols than former coach and current Athletics Director Phil Fulmer.

Fulmer celebrated with the Vols in the locker room following the upset win at Auburn on Saturday and shared with them lyrics to a song that is especially relevant at this point in the schedule.

“We don’t give a damn about the whole state of Alabama,” Fulmer said, as the players joined in at full throat and it became a raucous environment.

Fulmer is very familiar with the Crimson Tide as he went 11-5 against them when he was Tennessee’s coach. The Auburn win, having snapped an 11-game SEC losing streak for the Vols, as delivered some joy to a win-starved fan base looking for anything to get excited about.

Of course, the degree of difficulty is considerably higher this week in Neyland Stadium on a game that’s in the marquee CBS Saturday afternoon time slot. But for now, the Vols appear to be enjoying the Auburn win as much as they can.
