Alabama’s 24-0 win over Mississippi State was another step in the right direction on Saturday night, but fans are holding their breath after star QB Tua Tagovailoa took another shot to his injured leg during the game.

Tagovailoa didn’t play in the fourth quarter on Saturday after limping off the field, with the official word being that he took a big hit to his quad — just above his injured knee.

The quarterback and coach Nick Saban continue to insist he’s fine, but it is clearly something that will bear monitoring over the next two weeks, and it’s fair to question whether he plays at all this coming weekend against The Citadel.

After the game, Alabama LB Mack Wilson took to Twitter to question why people keep going low on his quarterback:

The end of Wilson’s tweet implies that the Crimson Tide defense is going to make sure to make things extra miserable on opposing quarterbacks for the rest of the season.

That’s bad news for Jarrett Stidham, Jake Fromm and any other quarterback that lines up across from Wilson for the rest of the year.
