The Heisman votes are in, and the results will be announced at the Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York City on Saturday night.
Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa, Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray and Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins are the finalists, with Tagovailoa and Murray as the two favorites.
On Tuesday, Alabama OC Mike Locksley joined “Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly” and made a case for Tagovailoa to win the trophy:
Mike Locksley, asked to make the Heisman case for Tua Tagovailoa: He makes the players around him better, similar to the great ones who have done it in other sports. The kid is amazing. He’s a very humble leader. The most talented QB I’ve been around.

Locksley has been around the game for a long time, so that sort of praise coming from him is big. We’ll see if the talented sophomore does indeed win the prestigious award.
Catch the Heisman ceremony on Saturday night at 8 p.m. Eastern time on ESPN.
