Alabama is already losing offensive linemen like Jonah Williams and Ross Pierschbacher to the NFL Draft, and now the unit will take another hit.

According to a report from AL.com, reserve OL Richie Petitbon will be leaving the program and heading to the Big Ten.

Per the report, Petitbon — a former 4-star recruit — will be heading to Illinois, where he’ll play under coach Lovie Smith:

Per the 247Sports composite, Petitbon was the No. 5 offensive guard in the class of 2015 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the Washington D.C. area.

Petitbon was a redshirt junior in 2018, where he appeared in six games as a backup for the talented unit of Alabama linemen.
