Mississippi State S Johnathan Abram is widely considered — along with Alabama S Deionte Thompson — to be one of the best safeties in the 2019 NFL Draft class.

Of course, being mentioned like that brings attention to you, but Abram said he welcomes that extra attention.

As you can see below, Abram discussed the pressure of being a top draft candidate on “The Jim Rome Show” on Wednesday:

“At the end of the day, I do like the attention, because it’s true,” he said. “But you can’t let it get to you. What I’ve been doing is staying humble, just working so I can go out and prove that I’m the best safety in this draft, because no matter what people say, you have to prove it.”

Will Abram sneak into Round 1 of the draft? We’ll see how he performs at the NFL Combine at the end of the month.
