Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim kills pedestrian driving home after game

Shocking story to share from New York as Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim has reportedly struck and killed a pedestrian by running him over with his vehicle. The incident allegedly occurred late Wednesday night, around midnight.

Syracuse played Louisville Wednesday night, with Boeheim’s club winning 69-49 at home.

According to Syracuse.com, the man that died was in an unrelated auto accident before getting hit by Boeheim’s vehicle. The victim got out of his car to assess the damage caused by the first accident when he was struck and killed by Boeheim.

Boeheim was tested for alcohol following the incident but he was not under the influence, according to Syracuse.com. You can read the full report here.

UPDATE: Syracuse has confirmed Boeheim’s involvement in the accident. He is not expected to face any charges following the incident.
