Derrick Tucker could be facing some disciplinary action in College Station as the Aggie defensive back was recently arrested by Texas A&M University police.

Tucker started eight games for the Aggies last season, racking up 27 tackles and one pass breakup for Mike Elko’s unit last fall. The rising junior also appeared in 11 games during his freshman season, making seven starts for Texas A&M’s defense. For his career, Tucker has 76 tackles and one interception.

However, despite showing promise early in his collegiate career, the defensive back may have hurt his future in College Station this offseason as Texas A&M University police booked Tucker on Thursday with charges of assault causing bodily injury, according to court records.

The alleged incident involving Tucker took place back in late March. It’s unclear why it took so long for police to take action in this case but Tucker has already been released on $5,000 bond.

Texas A&M has yet to release any comment following this news.
