The Iowa Hawkeyes are one of the more traditional teams in college football, but on Thursday, they broke tradition.

Iowa unveiled perhaps the boldest new uniforms of the 2019 season, an all-gold look with wings on the jersey. The helmet is more of a traditional look. The Hawkeyes will wear the uniforms against Penn State on October 12.

The last time Iowa broke out a new-look uniform it defeated Ohio State 55-24 in 2017. So, Iowa is hoping to rekindle some of that magic.

Unveiling uniforms for the season means college football is getting here rather quickly. Media Days are just around the corner, too.
