This offseason, the Missouri Tigers were hit with a one-year postseason ban by the NCAA. As part of that, rising seniors were given an opportunity to transfer and play right away for eligible schools.

However, no one left the Mizzou program, and coach Barry Odom didn’t take kindly to other teams trying to poach his players. He seemed to mention Tennessee by name, too.

On Tuesday at SEC Media Days, Vols coach Jeremy Pruitt cleared the air regarding what he called a “miscommunication” between the two schools:

“It’s amazing how social media and things get going,” he said. “I had somebody call me about that, about (how) Barry made a few comments about it. So I called Barry. We had a conversation and it was over with. So it was just a little miscommunication.”

On Monday, Odom also cleared the air regarding his comments, saying he and Pruitt are on good terms. It seems this offseason beef has been squashed.
