The Auburn Tigers learned their bowl destination Sunday afternoon, as they are headed to the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Florida, to face the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

However, prior to that announcement, Auburn’s Anthony Schwartz wasn’t too happy with the final College Football Playoff Rankings. In a weekend it didn’t play, Auburn dropped from No. 11 to No. 12. Schwartz was upset at the selection committee who kept Wisconsin at No. 8 despite losing to Ohio State 34-21 in the Big Ten Championship Game. On the other hand, Auburn gave LSU its toughest game of the season.

“So Wisconsin gets beat by double-digits and makes a NY6 and we lose to LSU by 3 and we’re behind them,” Schwartz tweeted. “What a joke.”

The Badgers will play Oregon in the Rose Bowl Game, while Auburn will play in the Outback Bowl. The Tigers were holding out hope for a New Year’s Six Bowl, but that didn’t pan out.

Auburn (9-2) will face off against Minnesota (10-2) in what figures to be a very interesting matchup. The Tigers dominant defense against the Golden Gophers offense should be highly entertaining.
