Hayden Hurst is the new tight end for the Atlanta Falcons after the team traded for him. he spent last season with the Baltimore Ravens.

The former South Carolina star still thinks fondly of his time in Columbia and gives coach Will Muschamp a lot of credit for making him the player he is today.

As you can see in the video below, he said Muschamp’s decision to move him from receiver to tight end and changed his entire career:

“He turned me into the player I am today,” Hurst said. “I owe a lot of my success to him. He threw me in there at tight end after I was a receiver and wonderful things happened after that.”

Hurst had 30 catches for 349 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Ravens in 2019. We’ll see if the Falcons make him a bigger part of their offense.
